Casey Filiaci is becoming known for as an accomplished composer of original musicals. His recent work includes 3 original musicals: Plagued, A Love Story, Sweethouse and the up and coming Moses Man: A Musical Journey of a Holocaust Survivor. His musical theatre credits includes the selection of Plagued to the prestigious New York Musical Theater Festival as well as the performances of Sweethouse to over 20,000 children. His newest project, Moses Man is scheduled for it's world premiere at the JCC's Hart theatre in Rochester, N.Y. on March 30th, 2013. This production, written by Deborah Haber and with all music written by Casey, has already received national recognition with a development grant from the National Endowment for the Arts as well as generous support from numerous other organizations.
Demand is also increasing for Casey's skills as a musical director. Some of his recent work in this capacity include Annie; Seussical; Hit Factory 1 and 2, Ain't Misbehavin', and more. He also doubles as pianist/keyboardist on these musicals. Casey excels with small as well as larger ensembles in the pit!
